Summer Reading 2009

Angels and Demons
By: Dan Brown
The Summer 2009 book is Angels and Demons. We will be discussing the book and the movie on Monday, October 19, 2009, at our first meeting!
Book Critic Review (A+)
"WELL PLOTTED AND EXPLOSIVELY PACED. Crammed with Vatican intrigue and hi-tech drama, Brown's tale is laced with twists and shocks that keep the reader wired right up until the final revelation. Packing the novel with sinister figures worthy of a Medici, Brown sets an explosive pace through a Michelin-perfect Rome."

Movie Critic Review (B+)
"Plucking the same violent, occult strings as "Da Vinci" while avoiding its leadenness, "Angels" keeps the action coming for the best part of 139 minutes!"

Yahoo User Review
"This movie does justice to the wonderful book. I read the book, and the movie is so different that I could live almost the same experience again but with new and unexpected twists. The cinematography is really amazing and beautiful. Low depth of characters, but much more exciting than "Da Vinci Code"
