Web Gallery Instructions

1.) Your work has been photographed and is in Encke Teach folder in the folder marked Intro to  Art/ Art II (Your Section) Sem. 1.

2.) Copy your images onto your hard drive into a folder . Create a second folder label it with your last initial first name. (ATaylor IntroGallery)

 3.) Edit Images in Photoshop. You may crop and change brightness and contrast to enhance your images.

4.)  In Photoshop, go to Image, then image size, change the pixels on your image to approx. 480 x 600 pixels. Go to zoom, fit on screen once you have changed the pixels.

5.) Rename and save all images to a folder with your name and Intro to Art / Art II. All images for your web page including background images must be saved to this folder.

6.) Open up Front page on your laptop.

7.) Design a web page highlighting at least six of your works from art class this semester.

8.) In your sketchbook do a quick thumbnail sketch of your layout.

9) Go to "Table," Insert a table onto the page. Figure out how many columns and rows you will need for your layout. This will provide a frame for your photos and writing. The table will provide a framework for your page design.

10.) To insert a photo onto your web page please follow these instructions.

                                                    A.) Insert picture from file.

                                                    B.) Right click on photo. and go to picture properties

                                                    C.) Change pixels to  approx.  500x 300                    

                                                    D.) When you go to save your page, it will ask if you want

                                                        to imbed these images. Click yes.

11.) Do not import fonts into the program as it will not recognize different fonts once the work is put out on the web.

12.) Be creative with your background colors and  descriptions of work.
