Homework: VISUALIZING A CONCEPT
Due: Tuesday, Sept. 14th, E-Day
Identify a relationship between a theme of a play and the images on stage to represent it.
Assignment: You will create four (4) collages on 8 x 11 paper following these instructions:
1. Two of your collages will use ONLY pictures (selected from magazines, newspapers, etc.)
2. Two of your collages will ONLY use color (no identifiable objects).
3. Select ONE word from EACH of the four categories:
A. anger, suspicion, tension, deception
B. joy, excitement, fantasy
C. cold, danger, confusion
D. comedy. laughter, tragedy, poverty
Please put the Group Letter, the word and your name on the back of the collage.
SET DESIGN

Create a set design for your individual play. Begin by choosing the type of stage you want to design for. Next, use graph paper to design a ground plan for ONE scene of the play. Be sure to place all the stage props in locations which will make blocking easy for you. Don't forget to dress the set in the appropriate period.
Also, prepare a frontal elevation complete with color to indicate the mood and feeling you want to create.
You will hand in to me One ground plan on graph paper
and One colored frontal elevation.
