ALGEBRA II / TRIG

 COURSE REQUIREMENTS

Classroom Procedures:

• Students will arrive promptly
• Students will be PREPARED
• Students will do the "Do Now" at the start of each class
• Students will behave in a cordial and respectful manner
• Students will participate and pay attention in class

Materials: 

• IBM ThinkPad
• TI'83 or TI'84 Plus graphing calculator
• Binder notebook
• Plenty of Pencils....If it's in pen, you will do it again!

Homework:  Homework is assigned at the end of each class and should be completed for the next class.  Your careful work on these assignments is very important for your understanding of the material covered in the course.

 Quizzes:  Weekly 15 min. quiz (every third meeting of the class) on the last two homework assignments or homework may be collected and graded as a quiz.  There are no make-ups of quizzes.  A missed quiz results in a grade of zero.  The lowest 3 quiz grades will be dropped.

 Attendance:  You are expected to attend all classes.  Should you miss a class, you are still responsible for the work covered and any announcements made (such as test dates).

Extra Help: I am available for extra help every day in room 220 until 2:30, for additional help please make an appointment.

 Grading: 

• Quizzes………………………………………………………...30% of final grade
• 4 Tests..…………………………………………………….….50% of final grade
• Projects, Homework and Class Participation…………..………..20% of final grade

Missed Tests must be scheduled to be made up within the first week of returning to class.  It is the students responsibility to schedule the make up.
