Course Description: This course explores the major themes and issues seen in the Hebrew experience of God.
Objectives:
*That the students will develop a deeper understanding of how God has worked in human history and still works in the present.
*That the students will become familiar with the Old Testament text.
*That the students know and appreciate the major themes and issues of the Old Testament.
*That the students reflect on how biblical truths may be incorporated into their own life.

Course Requirements:
* Please bring the required textbook, Bible, and notebook to class each time we meet. This notebook will be used to hold all notes, handouts, assignments, assessments, and homework.
* Class participation is expected - preparation of assigned readings/reflection is essential for the class to be a success.
* Tests, projects, oral presentations, written reflections/essays will be given throughout each quarter. Reflection papers and major papers must be typed.
* Quizzes may be given to review material covered in class and/or homework assigned. Homework assignments: use the following format: name, class, section, and date. Typed assignments - use 12point, in black ink.
Grading: Grades will be based on quizzes, tests, projects, as well as homework and class participation.
Quizzes - 40% , Tests - 40%, and Reflection papers( quiz grade) Homework 10%, Class participation 10%, NB. Projects will receive a test grade.
Homework assignment are to be completed and submitted on time.
Make-up quizzes and assignments:
*Missed assignments are due the day you return to school. Be sure to schedule test or quiz the day you return to school. It is your responsibility to see Sr. Margaret and schedule missed assignments.
*Quizzes will be made up within (3) three days, and Tests must be completed within a cycle.
