Prayer of St. Francis
Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon.
Where there is doubt, faith.
Where there is despair, hope.
Where there is darkness, light.
And where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned.
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Basic Prayers
Sign of the Cross
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Our Father
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed are thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Glory Be to the Father
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
The Morning Offering.
O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day in union with the holy sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world. I offer them for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart: the salvation of souls, reparation for sin, the reunion of all Christians. I offer them for the intentions of our bishops and of all members of the Apostleship of Prayer and in particular for those recommended by our holy Father this month. Amen.
The Apostles Creed
We believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth.
And
in Jesus Christ,His only Son, our Lord;
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
Born of the Virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day He arose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven,
A
nd sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; From thence
He shall come to judge the living and the dead.We believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting. Amen.
Hail Holy
Queen
Hail Holy Queen, Mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope; to thee
do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to thee do we send up our sighs,
mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate,
thine eyes of mercy towards us; and after this our exile, show unto us the
blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O Clement, O Loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
Pray for us O Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us pray:
O god, whose only begotten Son, by His life, death, and resurrection has
purchased for us the rewards of eternal life, grant we beseech thee that
meditating upon the mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin
Mary, we imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise through the same
Christ Our Lord. Amen.
Memorare
Remember O most gracious virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto you, O virgin of virgins my Mother. To you do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, do not reject my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen.
Prayer for Those Who Have Died
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen.
May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Prayer the the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in Thee.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I believe in Your love for me.
