CHAPTER TWO OUTLINE

• Define:   KINEMATICS
   
• Differentiate between distance and displacement
   
• Know the difference between average and instantaneous velocity
   
• Differentiate between speed and velocity
   
• Be able to solve problems using the equation   v bar  = Dx / t
   
• Know all the proper units for each quantity discussed in this chapter
   
• Differentiate between constant and changing velocity
   
• Define:   ACCELERATION  and be able to solve problems using the acceleration equations
   
• Be able to GRAPHICALLY analyze the motion of a body
   
• Describe the motion of a body in FREE FALL in terms of its acceleration, velocity and displacement and be able to solve free fall problems

• The above assignments are for the entire chapter.  (CC) stands for conceptual challenge, (SR) section review, (RQ) review questions, and (CQ) concept questions.  Be sure to check with your own notes to see which homework
  pertains to where you left off when absent.  You can access the answers for all the  (P) practice assignments double clicking on the link.  The rest will be gone over in class so IF YOU ARE ABSENT, be sure to have a classroom buddy who will show you the solutions.  I have answer sheets for all worksheets that you may borrow to help you.

Please check the classroom board daily to determine which assignment pertains to a particular day.  Since the pace of the class is decided daily based on the classes' understanding of the material, sometimes the class notes for a particular homework assignment are not gotten to. Therefore, the homework must be amended.

QUIZ AND TEST ANNOUNCEMENTS

• Honors Physics One, Two and Three have a test on chapter two on Tuesday, Oct. 5th.

The dates here may be amended due to unforeseen circumstances, so please check the classroom board daily for the most accurate information.
