Freshmen Renaming instructions.

To Rename the Computer

Right-Click My Computer – Properties – To the right of Computer Name click "Change settings"

Change the computer description to your full name (i.e. Mary Smith).

Click Change.

Change the computer name to your 8 letter code  (i.e. 14SmiMar)

Click OK - Close  - but Restart Later

To Rename the Student Account ( if your icon still says "student" when you log on)

Control Panel – User Accounts - Change your account name

Type in  your 8 letter code (i.e. 14SmiMar)

Click Change Name

Now restart your laptop
