Biology Course Expectations
The purpose of this course is to provide a foundational knowledge of the study of life.
The students taking Biology are expected to arrive to class on time, attend class regularly, participate in all exams, quizzes, labs and assigned discussions, as well as hand in homework on assigned dates. During the year there will also be project assignments. These projects will count as exams. The student is expected to make up all missed exams, quizzes, labs and homeworks within five class days of their return to school. If the student does not make up the missed work by this time, points will begin to be deducted. I will be open to extenuating circumstances. As with all courses, students are expected to behave with the highest morals, maturity and respect toward the teacher and fellow students. Uniform code will also be enforced in the classroom. Students are expected to check my web site daily for assignments.
Grades will be based upon the following:
Homework / Participation (10%)
Announced Quizzes (20%)
Chapter Exams/ Projects ( 50%)
Lab reports. ( we will be dissecting animal tissue during the year) ( 20%)
