Classroom Procedures

 

In order to optimize our time together, the following classroom procedures will be followed throughout the year:   

  1. Arrive on time and be prepared for class.  This means you are expected to have all materials needed for class including laptops and any homework assignments completed in the assigned format.                                                                                                                                                                                              

  2. Participate in class.  Class can be as interesting as we make it!  Active, constructive participation is not only encouraged but expected and it will make a difference in your grade. .                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

  3. Classroom Atmosphere.  R-E-S-P-E-C-T!  Mutual respect in the classroom requires that the teacher respect the students, the students respect the teacher and the students respect each other.

  8. Grading Policy.  Tests, major assignments and/or projects will be double weighted; quizzes, homework and participation grades are single weighted.

  10. Academic Honesty:  Integrity is an important value and is expected for all students; cheating in any form will not be tolerated. Plagiarism and other forms of cheating will be referred to Mrs. Hals, the Dean of Students, for disciplinary action.  Please review your IHA agenda and the website so you are clear on this subject.
